CBD stands for cannabidiol. It was discovered in 1940 and is one of approximately 113 identified cannabinoids in cannabis plants. There has been clinical research that CBD can help with anxiety, cognition, movement disorders and pain.
You can smoke CBD, put it in food, or use it as an oil. However there are health concerns associated with the safety of CBD. In November of 2019, the FDA stated that CBD can potentially cause liver damage or gastrointestinal disorders. It may also interfere with the use of prescriptions drugs.
The FDA also warns about CBD products not being accurately labeled with the amount of CBD they contain. The FDA has issued dozens of warning letters to American manufactures of CBD products for false advertising.
What do you think about CBD being used as a form of treatment for illness? For you or your furry soulmate? I would love to know.
