Does your cat have you trained to feed him or her at any hour of the day or night? My two furry soulmate sisters have trained me well. It didn't take them long since I'm a sucker for any kind of whining. All they have to do is follow me around and make that annoying kind of meow that communicates "feed me now!"
Dr. Karen McComb from the UK calls this "solicitation purring." It's a mixture of a meow and a purr and it's designed to get you the human to feed them upon command.
My vet told me to just ignore the girls. But I can't do it. I'm a softie. The slightest meow or eye contact from a cat has me obeying like a good handmaiden. How about you? Did your cats train you too? I would love to hear your story of being a good servant to your cat.
