How much would you spend on your furry soulmate?

I have spent thousands on my cats over the years.  And no, I'm not rich.  I just made it happen with credit cards, loans from friends, begging my family for money.  My furry soulmates are my children.  How about you?  Where do you draw the line?

Then there is pet insurance.  Personally, I have never had pet insurance but it is something I am checking out.  How about you?  Do you have pet insurance and do you think it's worth it?
