Adopting these two furry sisters was quite an experience. First, my two previous furry soulmates came directly from the street. So when I went to the SF SPCA for the first time to actually adopt two cats, it was quite an experience. I did not know that black animals (tuxedo cats included) are LESS likely to be adopted than non black animals. That was shocking to me. Also these two little sisters were traumatized because someone had thrown them into a gutter. I am so grateful they were found and even more grateful that they get to live out their cat lives with me.
